I just noticed this piece of news today. This is certainly a better choice than the Samsung Instinct from Bell. And it's wonderfull to know that they will be using the larger battery. Although, I wonder why they chose to change the handset's design a bit? Personally, I am more fond of the original design with the sharp corners, it somewhat looked more professional to me.

This is technically the HTC Victor.

It is the exact same hardware, but they flatten the design to give a more professional over feature look.

A majority of the providers (in the uk at least) seem to take this route. Rather than selling a HTC Diamond, they are selling an O2 XDA Ingito or a T-Mobile MDA Compact IV. Orange make their PDAs with an M*00 name and it seems that Vodafone are taking the same route.

I think that taking a rebranded/shelled device and adding their moniker to it, makes it their flagship model for their stores.

I'm never sure why HTC allow it...
