I have several contacts with multiple mobile phone numbers; when I received an SMS from them in 6.0, I could easily tell which number it came from, in case I needed to initiate a new conversation with them on a different number later. With 6.1, I can't find a way of telling which number it came from (you do get a different thread from a different number, but there's no simple way of telling which number the contact used).

Ah, just found that if you highlight the thread and hit Dial, you see the number. Seems like a brute-force solution, but anyway... thanks for threading, it really beats the old-style where I couldn't remember the last thing that was said.

Many novice found that it is impossible to forward or delete individual SMS. The solution is simply highlight individual SMS in thread first. Then forward or delete individual is possible.

Windows Mobile 6.1 introduced a new mode for visualize SMS: threading. But not all people love it. Fortunately, we can modify it (it's a reg key).

Mode SMS is a little utility for choosing visualization mode for SMS in WM 6.1

This solution is not possible for all devices... With  Diamond or Experia the function "forward" for SMS is disabled or is not available
