Re: Exchange ActiveSync Limitations
Maybe he meant the Journal is not synced? I kinda wish it was.
Also, I'm pretty sure Draft emails are not synced, which is another very annoying problem.

Re: Exchange ActiveSync Limitations
I don't have Exchange 2007 yet, but does it syncronize Reply/Forwarded status? Does WM 6.1 show Reply/Forwarded email icons? When will that be fixed?

Re: Exchange ActiveSync Limitations
And now we reach the limits of my knowledge of Exchange 2007 - however, everything I do know, I learned from a quick official trial that is available here: https://signmeup.exchange2007demo.com/exchange2007demo/ You can actually create a fully functional Exchange 2007 account, access it from your mobile device, and try out everything, including the cool new device management features, etc! It's a temporary account that expires after 5 days, but still...

Wow! Thanks, that's awesome! I'll definitely have to try that later on a device that I'm not already using with my Exchange 2003 SP2 (SBS) server. That'll be really helpful for testing out Exchange 2007! Very nice.

Re: Exchange ActiveSync Limitations
Well, I created another testing account at MS's Exchange Server 2007 trial site, and successfully logged in after a bit of wrangling. I think one of my favorite things is definitely the user-accessible device management options. I grabbed a screenshot of my device control panel within Exchange - that's an old device that we had lying around the office, configured with the trial server info!

Re: Exchange ActiveSync Limitations
It may be annoying that drafts are not synchronised, but, having worked in the wireless email area for a long time, generally this a feature that is actually chosen by the developers, As we truncate email items for syncing to the device (Headers only, 2kb of body etc) A draft is an item that has not been sent yet, And it exists in a "ready-to-edit" form in your outlook, If it was to synchronise to the device and somehow be modified, those changes would not know where to append in the body of the draft on the server. I know its quite a simple process to work around, as we see with forwarding emails on the device. But it requires you download the entire body of the draft before editing. The wireless email solutions that come with drafts enabled out of the box, almost always have no truncation set on the body of drafts.

Re: Exchange ActiveSync Limitations
Hi, You are correct! Exchange ActiveSync does support Tasks. However it does not support Journal and that was what I was thinking of but wrote the wrong thing.
Also, just for the record there's a few more updates...
It does not sync the Drafts or Sent Items.
Thank you for the feedback!
Sincerely,
Chris De Herrera
