So which should I get - the Shift or the Advantage ?

The Shift might be a good idea because then it might be easier to log in remotely to my laptop at home?

I find the remote desktop experience on the advantage to be fine.

You would have to VPN or be on the same network or simialar though.

With the shift you could use live mesh and remote that way.

I don't really consider the shift to be a windows mobile device to be honest.

Price is probably the main issue for you.

I use Logmein which I really like, though I am starting to use LiveMesh. I find LiveMesh is slightly slower than Logmein when accessing a desktop remotely. Logmein has almost no lag time.

Both the Advantage and Shift are similar prices.

    davidc:

But from using it its not really a Windows Mobile OS in full. It feels more like a flash simulation of a windows mobile device, I was quite disapointed.  It seems like its just a skin for vista really..  I know its not, but the implementation of WinMo on this device was poor. (In my opinion.) Overall the device is fantastic though.

I was wondering how it would handle both Vista and WM....for that kinda $$$$ it should run flawless.....
