Re: HTC Mogul Upgraded to WM 6.1 "breaks" ActiveSync
Laura Rooke:If you are running Vista and OUTLOOK 2007, click on Help in OUTLOOK and run Office Diagnostics. I ran the Office Diagnostics and everything was clean. I think that my problem may be different than what others are reporting. The phone won't even attempt to sync if I have the storage card in. When I open ActiveSync (AS) on the phone, it closes down before I can tap anything. Also, the computer doesn't even recognize that the phone is plugged in. Also, when the storage card is in the messaging application won't even launch when I tap on it. I can't even open Pocket Outlook or my text messages. However, if I remove the storage card, then the computer recognizes the phone and attempts to sync. When I open AS on the phone, I get our infamous error message (0x86000107). I deleted the partnership to the second PC (so the phone is only set to sync with Exchange Server and my desktop), but the same events happen. No matter what I do, I cannot sync with Exchange Server or either PC. I am running Vista Home (32-bit), with OUTLOOK 2007 and I have an AT&T Tilt with WM6.1. Also, my emails and attachments are being stored on my storage card. I appreciate any help that you can offer to me as I use this phone for work and I can't even access my emails or texts.

Re: HTC Mogul Upgraded to WM 6.1 "breaks" ActiveSync
Laura Rooke:
Hi Kathleen - we are definitely trying to get this one answered and find a timeframe for a fix.
Has there been any movement on this issue? I am experiencing the same issues and have yet to find a satisfactory solution. I've been deleting the device association with the pc and re-syncing, but even that seems to be failing now. Additionally, I only sync with my work pc.
Thanks,
Justin

Re: HTC Mogul Upgraded to WM 6.1 "breaks" ActiveSync
Bill Fisher:
Collect the following files if possible from both of the Windows XP systems that the customer uses to sync with.
%temp%\wceslog.log
%temp%\wcesmgr.log
Hi Bill
I have the same problem with syncsing my TyTnII (WM6.1) with two computers (the error message comes at a certain point during syncsing Contacts in the Vista ssystem computer). Does it help if I send you my log files? and for a Windows Vista system which log files should be colected and how?
b regards
ARo

Re: HTC Mogul Upgraded to WM 6.1 "breaks" ActiveSync
Hello everyone. I upgraded to WM 6.1 yesterday and lost ability to sync to my HTC Sprint Mogul.
However my troubleshooting succeeded so here is what I did:
I unplugged my Mogul from my PC.
I deleted all Partnerships from my PC/ActiveSync
I went into the Connections setting of my Mogul/PPC/PDA and deleted PC 1 and PC 2 (all established relationships), then under Advanced I unchecked the single box there.
I hope that helps others out there.
Scott

Re: HTC Mogul Upgraded to WM 6.1 "breaks" ActiveSync
Welcome, Rodrigues AR. We've received additional information from the technical support team about this issue, and from their advice, it does not appear that any additional logs are needed. According to the support team: This
is a known issue and fixed in AKU1.2. This bug is talking about deleting more
than 100 contacts. However, it's not specific to the delete operation. As long
as there are more than 100 changes in one data type to be synced to the desktop,
you hit the bug. The fix is available to the device manufacturer and you will
need to contact them to see if they have an update available.

Hi, everyone - We've received word back from the technical suppot team on this issue. They were able to analyze logs provided by Katherine and Adam, and had this to say: This
is a known issue and fixed in AKU1.2. This bug is talking about deleting more
than 100 contacts. However, it's not specific to the delete operation. As long
as there are more than 100 changes in one data type to be synced to the desktop,

need to contact them to see if they have an update available.
Sorry there's not a quick and easy fix, but at least it's clear what's going on with this issue.

Re: HTC Mogul Upgraded to WM 6.1 "breaks" ActiveSync
Bill and all,
This is the response I received from an inquiry to HTC as to when the "fix" might be available for my ATT Tilt: Hello Gary, Thank you for your inquiry about the ActiveSync error code 86000107.
I know how frustrating it can be to not be able to synchronize your phone with your computer. The error code that is getting produced from ActiveSync is saying that there is a problem with the partnership between your phone and the computer. There is not a fix for your phone when it comes to an ActiveSync error code. One of the ways to try and resolve this issue so you can get your information from your computer back to your phone is to end the partnership on the phone and on the computer. To end the partnership on the computer, with the phone unplugged, select File > Delete Mobile Device. To end the partnership on the phone, you will have to go to Start > Programs > ActiveSync. In the ActiveSync program, select Menu > Options > highlight the partnership > tap Delete. Removing the partnership will remove information on the phone that is directly related to the sync partnership. Gary, I hope we have answered your question in detail. Feel free to contact us again if you have any further questions.
HTC Technical Support
It's apparent that if the device manufactuers have received the "fix", that it has not found it's way to HTC Tech Support.
Gary
