Hey,
registered members: You're invited to our very first "Coffee Talk Connection,"
a live online event to be held on Tuesday, October 21, from 9 AM to 10 AM PDT.
This is the
first in an ongoing series of Microsoft LiveMeeting sessions we're hosting in
order to offer registered Connection members a chance to interact live with
mobile-industry professionals. So why "Coffee Talk"? Each session will feature random
Starbucks gift card giveaways every 10 minutes!

The
Samsung Epix
We're very
excited about our new event series, and for this inaugural session, we're
absolutely thrilled to bring you an exclusive chance to talk live with Samsung
about their upcoming i907 Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional phone on AT&T,
otherwise known as the "Epix." Haven't heard about this phone yet? That's
because it's been totally under wraps until now, and you'll have a chance to be
among the first to learn all about it! This exciting new device features a
square touchscreen, a unique optical mouse, high-speed data, Wi-Fi connectivity,
AT&T Navigator, and much, much more.

Hosting the
presentation will be Samsung technical trainer Michael Ables. As a wireless
terminal technical trainer in the Voice of Customer department, Michael is
responsible for call center training as well as pre- and post-launch product
advisory. The Voice of Customer department of Samsung is geared towards overall
customer perception and satisfaction through reporting trends in repairs,
calls, FAQ's, and forums to deliver feedback to headquarters for future
enhancements on Samsung wireless products.
This live
Coffee Talk Connection presentation will be open only to registered members of
the Windows Mobile Connection. If you are not registered but wish to attend,
click the Join link at the top of the page and create your free account now.
To
Attend the Event
Members who wish to attend the
event should sign up by
sending us a private message that includes the following:
- Your full name
- Your valid e-mail address
- Your mobile-industry employer or affiliation
- Your job title
We'll use the address you give us to send you
complete event information, access instructions, and an official Outlook
meeting invitation, as well as the link to download the free LiveMeeting
software in advance, if needed.
We have room for a maximum of
100 participants at the LiveMeeting, so the earlier you sign up, the
better. If we do not fill the guest list through advance registrations, we
will be accepting participants on the day of the event on a first-come,
first-served basis. The information for accessing the event is included at
the bottom of this post.
The event will include both a
slide presentation and live audio, so your PC should be set up to handle
broadband-level data and audio. You will need a headset if you wish to ask
questions live.
If you are unable to use
LiveMeeting's built-in audio functionality, there will also be a toll-free
dial-in number to listen to the event over the phone. Dialing in will be
toll-free for US/Canada participants only.
For members who cannot attend
the event live, it will also be recorded and made available here on the
forum for 90 days after the date of the presentation.
We look
forward to seeing you on Tuesday, October 21, at 9 AM PDT. If you have any
questions about this event, please feel free to send us a private message.
