My Vista laptop had been getting progessively slower and when I connected my mobile device , I would have to wait a few minutes while it got connected and did its thing. It had 2GB of memory and I could see that it was running on max. So I invested in another 2GB and it is now much more than twice as fast. It must be about 6 times faster. When I connect my device it must take just 10 - 20 seconds to connect and sync up as opposed to a few minutes. This new memory cost me $130 and was well worth it.

Using a fast USB stick can make a difference with Readyboost too. A lot cheaper than £130 too.

The difference in speed is just amazing - even locking, it would take FORever !!! Now it's instant. Bringing up a WORD document is instant. It's behaving like a good laptop should!
