Brighthand is reporting that the HTC Diamond is debuting in early May. The HTC Diamond is the replacement for the HTC Touch.

The Touch is a really nice device (and I say this even having only used one which is in Russian :)).

I hope the Diamond is just as good or better.

It would disappointing if the Diamond is actually replacing the Touch. Don't get me wrong, I love the new HTC Diamond, especially the new TouchFLO 3D interface. But the HTC Touch is also a unique device and worth upgrading and releasing a version 2.0. Maybe with a larger screen and a new form factor.

That being said, since I am in Canada, I won't be seeing any Diamonds showing up in any wireless providers here. So my only chance to grab one is from ebay or some other website.
