  • Re: Vista x64 WMDC is still not Synching with USB

Greetings madman_nyc! Welcome to the Windows Mobile forums! Would you by chance happen to have installed the 32-bit version of WMDC? If so, please uninstall it and install the 64-bit version of WMDC from the bottom of the screen on the hyperlink shown below. It will show a mix of 32bit and 64bit, so...

  • Unable to connect with ActiveSync to Windows XP

This has to be the most common problem that I deal with and luckily there is an easy fix. I regularly have users coming to me who connect their device to Windows XP. Their devices are charging and the USB ports all look okay, but ActiveSync fails to initiate and cannot be made to connect. I have found...

  • Re: After the Sale: Troubleshooting and Reducing Returns

I'd like to add a couple things that have caused RMA / device exchanges or a whole lot of customer support calls that have gone on for hours when this stuff was not necessary at all... (1) Customers report the touch response of their Pocket PC 5.0 or Professional 6.0 device is so impossibly bad,...

  • Re: Slow perfomance

It works eventually but just freezes the whole machine. This would lead me to believe that maybe you guys...

  • Re: Slow perfomance

You mean you have this with Vista, as well??! Thought it was my laptop with XP. Now I'm starting to suspect it's my device. My TILT with wm6 takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R to start and complete a sync AND cpu usage on my laptop always goes to max (and putting another gig of RAM in it didn't change a...

  • Re: Slow perfomance

Yep... it's more or less the same here. When I plug in a device, Vista hangs for a minute or so before it understands what happened. Vista is painfully slow at some times, but at least it doesn't keep bluescreening like XP did.

  • Slow performance

Has anyone else noticed that the performance on a Vista machine (x86 or x64) is very bad? Whenever i connect a device the PC literally crawls and I have to wait for it. My workaround is that I have a VMWare installation with XP and connecting/syncing/browsing the device is pretty fast (like a normal...
