Is it possible and if it is please reply because i really need to find out what to do to get it on my phone with only windows XP
As stated in my other reply to you...
On your XP computer, you need to download and install Activesync 4.5. You also need Microsoft OUTLOOK 2003 or higher if you want to sync your PIM data.
i do have active sync 4.5. Now about the outlook 2003 can i download it off the internet?
i do have outlook exspress will that work and if it does what do i do from there
Outlook is part of Microsoft Office which needs to be purchased or Microsoft OUTLOOK can be purchased as a standalone product.
You can get a 60 day trial of OUTLOOK 2007 here.
So there is no way that i can just download anything that will just make it work
scratch that i can get a hold of office mobile and what do i do once that is on my computer
Office Mobile is for the device.
Try that download of the trial of Office 2007. Then connect your device, and Activesync will prompt you to set up a partnership. Windows Mobile 6.1 will connect in the same way as previous versions of Windows Mobile.
Here is a step-by-step guide from the Windows Mobile site.
ok i am in the installation process and will try what you said and will contact you when i am done
i do have the active sync 4.5 but it still does not ask for a connection to the outlook 2007 so what should i do
Has Activesync prompted you to set up a partnership as in that guide?
Did you check off the items that you wanted to sync - Contacts, Calendar.....
when i opened sync all it did was sync my phone like it was still 4 but when i open the help page it says that it is that it is active sync 4,5 i dont know why it has a comma so what im going to do is take it off my computer and reinstall it
i did finally get that list so what do i do after
I would select just one of the items to sync first of all - either Calendar or Contacts. Then after the sync, look in OUTLOOK and you should see them there.
