We used to use this here at the office - before we had Exchange Server - for desktop Outlook Web access from home. It worked just fine, although I remember that it was a little slow, and from the IT standpoint, it was apparently a bit more vulnerable to spam and other security issues than actually connecting directly to Exchange.

That's good to know. I'm more interested in mobile contact calendar sync. My solution right now is really convoluted.

I would be really interested if you could share your current setup Kris.

Right now I'm backing up contacts with the AT&T Mobile Backup software and then using GooSync to sync my calendar with Google, then I'm using Plaxo to sync up with everything else.

Remember, I'm a cheap as they come, and I don't like Office.

Plaxo is very facebook'ish. They may even receive complaints from Mark Zuckerberg, its that close.

The People and Calendar tabs have the option to sync with Windows Mobile. Just a shame that its £26.99/year to access these features.

This is something that I would like to see in Windows Live. To be able to sync my contacts and calendar along with my emails would be perfect.

Mail2Web looks to offer contact/calendar sync with Windows Mobile. Can anybody confirm/refute whether this uses the PIM details from the in Windows Mobile Calendar and Contacts?
