    One-Click E-Mail in WM 6: WMExperts Tip

Courtesy of WMExperts.com, here's a great trick for creating a shortcut that will open a new e-mail message or SMS:

To do this, you just create a link to "tmail.exe" found in \Windows. I use Resco Explorer.

    • Find the "tmail.exe"
    • Select "Properties" (Menu --> File --> Properties)
    • Shortcut Tab
    • Edit Target
    • Add "mailto:" (no quotes) to the command line

It should look like this: "Windows\tmail.exe" mailto:

More details are in the original article.

I've set this up on my WM6 Pro device and it works a treat. The fact that it lets you choose which account to create the new message for makes it highly versatile.

+ as you are linking directly to tmail.exe, your new shortcut also retains the Messaging icon.
