DUN and VPN connection selection with WM5

With PPC2003SE loaded the connection icon at the top of the Today screen will show any available dialup connections and vpn connections and connection to them can be intiated there. With WM5 loaded this icon now only shows available WiFi connections. To initiate a VPN connections through a Dial up connection you have to go to Start/Settings/Connections/Connections/Manage existing connections to select a connection to intiate. Isn't there a simpler way to pick a dialup connection to start?

You should be able to use the stylus to click on the GPRS logo and from there a bubble will pop up with a link to settings. That will take you to Start/Settings/Connections.

On most WM6 devices the whole radio stack is handled by a Comms manager of some sort and a lot of devices have a dedicated Comm manager hardware button.

If you are using a launcher application you can create a shortcut for it to go directly to the tasks screen in Connections:

    1) Open a new Notepad document on ur desktop.
    2) Copy the command line (21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,19) to the document.
    3) Save the file as "Connections.lnk" (you can name it to anything).
    4) Copy the file to your ppc  '\Windows\Start Menu\Programs' = you'll then be able to access that setting from the Program Menu.

Once it is in the Program Menu any launcher program you are using for your today screen should pick it up from there.

Yes, it did this reduces the keystrokes, but it would still be nice to be able to create a link that went directly to a particular DUN entry.
