I am in a tiny startup company from Greece related to the mobile industry. We are creating software and now we are ready to

embark on the selling business. We are young and unexperienced but I am sure this site will help us a lot!

I know how you feel about the site.

It's good to get in on something from the beginning and not join into this overwhelming board full of veterans who won't reply! So farI've found it a great community, and I happy to be here to watch and help it grow.

I think you'lle find most people here very helpfull, particularly Laura, who I am sure will be the next person to reply to this.  

Make sure you post with any questions, and good luck with your company. I'm off to try and find you guys online.

Welcome Panefsky from Wi-Not Inc.you are in the right place at the right time! I understand how you feel, makes me think back to 1999 when I start my first wireless company. I couldn't agree more! I was so much surprised when I woke up this morning and found out how well this site fits to our needs, that tomorrow I am expecting to find a VC's web forum!!

To answer your question, our software is targeted to Windows-based PDAs and offers several features (e.g. TV, Radio, IM, game playing, music etc) Our main distinction is that it is web-based and it is dynamic, in the sense that we use the web for application functionality. For example, our instant messaging integrates translation (I write Greek while you read English), the game engine can search the web for flash games (you type the name and choose a result-save/open available of course), the music feature searches songs and processes multimedia formats(you type a song name and receive an mp3) and others

All in all, my personal opinion is that our product is a decent one. We sure had much fun developing it. But now we will have to face the trouble of how to build a business around it.
