Samsung have decided to incorporate Infineon chipsets ditching Qualcomm, using the shift to reduce costs by 20% (retaining quality standards) and also as leverage in future negotiations.

Qualcomm holds many patents for CDMA and 3G technologies, but has been taken to court for its allegedly unfair pricing structure which included a ban on importing hansets using certain chipsets which were found to infringe on Broadcom Corp's copyrights.

This may signify a shift of more manufactures moving the Infineon chipsets.
