Preview Release of Windows SideShow for Windows Mobile

I'm pretty sure this will appeal to a *modest* number of you - there's now a "developer preview" release of the Windows SideShow technology that runs on Windows Mobile devices. SideShow, if you remember from the Vista release, lets you "stream" PC updates and information to an auxiliary remote device. Now that apparently can include WM devices! The Unwired has some very, very interesting screenshots showing Windows Mail (not Outlook, but Vista's built-in mail app) sending updates to the homescreen of a WM Standard device. Cool!

Check it out at the Unwired, or go straight to the MS download page.

Interesting find, Bill. As you said, this would appeal to a very modest number of people since SideShow will eventually be part of any laptop and PC tower in the near future. So having this technology compatible with Windows Mobile devices is somewhat of a nice addition but certainly nothing to drool over...at least in the meantime Smile
