Qik Expands to Windows Mobile Platform

Tomorrow Qik, the popular webcasting service that streams video from your phone, will announce support for Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform. Actual support for phones will be rolled out in the coming months. To get things started, the site has launched an invite-only alpha for the Motorola Q and Samsung BlackJack.

See the full report at TechCrunch.

I cannot wait for this....I love my Blackjack II too much to shell out $700 for a N95 just for Qik!

Qik.com - not just for Symbian anymore!

Okay, bad pun, but it's great software!

The team at Qik has decided to start making a Windows Mobile version of their fab software, which has only been available for S60.

They confirm it will now work on the AT&T staple of Windows Mobile devices, including the Tilt, Blackjack 1 and II, Treo 750, and the Duo.

For those not familiar, Qik is livecasing software, specifically to stream live video from your handset to their site.

I got my hands on this, and it's killer.  320x240 video streaming from my Blackjack II directly to the site.

I'm going to start using Qik to do quickie "vlogettes", then post some of the better ones on my blogger page.
