    AT&T blocked windowsmobiletraining.com

Looks like I'm gonna have issues getting to this site from work.  AT&T just instituted new firewall/proxy rules, and windowsmobiletraining.com got listed as a site that promotes "mobile software", so it's blocked automatically.  My data manager for my market and the regional data manager are trying to get it off the blacklist, but it's gonna take a while.

Is there an m. version of the forum, one that formats okay in IE, or am I having to use Skyfire to access this site correctly on my Blackjack?

    Re: AT&T blocked windowsmobiletraining.com

Thanks for the heads-up, Kris. That's a bummer. Is it both the WMT training site and the Connection forum, or just the forum? We can definitely pass this on to the right people on the Windows Mobile team, who will likely be able to reach out to AT&T from their end...

As for the mobile version of the forum: This has been high on our to-do list for a while, and we're just now trying to estimate what it would cost for us to build it. At the moment, however, it's looking like it won't happen any time soon - it turns out we'd need to do quite a bit of engineering work from scratch (expensive!) to enable all the important forum functionality while using mobile-optimized code.

So at the moment, the best option is one of the more recent browsers (IE in WM 6.1 works great!).

It's the whole domain and related IPs.

No problem.  AT&T just changed their firewall and it's now blocking a lot more sites than it used to do.

I'm adding this message from my terminal on the floor, so someone seems to have fixed the proxy.   Thanks for the help!

BTW, anyone see the Boy Genius Report rant after the proxy for us blocked "his" site? LOL
