Chris from MobileTechAddicts has got a great detailed review including pictures and video of the HTC Touch Pro.

His conclusion on this device................

"HTC have taken the flack on the Diamond, learned from it and released a very solid, well performing device, the TouchFlo 3D works perfectly now and enhances the device greatly. Added to that, high quality hardware, a great slide out keyboard, lots of Ram and this device is a winner. Its a work horse with a lot of power and runs as smooth as silk. I cannot think of many negatives, it has all the features, good battery life, good camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. "

The device's screen certainly looks gorgeous and as the reviewer said it definitely appears to be a lot more responsive. I would've been happier if it came with a larger screen (2.8" just doesn't work for me anymore). I love how the email is represented on the home screen as well as the photos. It makes me wana keep flipping through the tabs just for fun!

It's certainly a real competitor to many devices out there.

 It is very suprising to see how close in size it is to the N95. See here...

I guess it shows just how small the Diamond is and how the Pro, even with the extra size from the keyboard, is a really compact device. Especially when you consider just how many features these two pack in.

I'm waiting for the version that has proper Start/OK hardware buttons so that you don't have to touch the screen to switch applications or whatnot.

There is no hardware start button on the Touch Pro!  There is a Home button on the front face, and that will bring you to the today screen, but in Touch FLO 3D landscape style, there is no button to access applications...  so the only way to open applications in landscape mode, is to take your finger and press it against the on-screen Start menu in the upper left corner of the screen. 

Very poor design in my opinion. 

The AT&T version (Fuze), does have start menu and OK hardware buttons on the keyboard though.

I have to admit, I am finding it very strange that the versions being released by the carriers are varying so much from the original devices.

AT&T are adding in the Start and OK Buttons, Telus are added a MicroSD Card reader and extended battery to the Diamond, the Chinese version has 3G disabled, etc, etc.

HTC previously released two versions of the Artemis and the Polaris, with the second version being smoother in both cases, but this time around, there must be at least 6 variants that we have seen, or have been announced, already.
