Chronobis - Outlook Web Access (OWA) to Windows Mobile Outlook Sync

Chronobis is a free Beta Outlook Web Access (OWA) to Windows Mobile device synchronization program. It connects directly to OWA from your Windows Mobile device and does not require any special permissions or options to be enabled by your company's IT department. If you can access Outlook Web Access (OWA) from a public internet connection, you can sync Exchange calendar to your PocketPC (PPC) device using Chronobis. Chronobis also runs completely self-contained on your Windows Mobile device, no need to install software on your desktop, work computer, or use any "3rd party service".

Currently Chronobis is in the Beta stages and is a one way (Exchange Server to PPC device) calendar synchronization.

For some, it may be the only option.

Windows Mobile devices synchronize out of the box with Exchange Servers using a tool called Outlook Mobile Access (OMA).

On a default installation of Exchange Server 2003 and higher, OMA is installed along with OWA. Unfortunately, the mere thought of accessing Outlook data via a mobile device scares some IT departments, many of which in turn disable this functionality because of the unknown. Others may disable this feature simply because they "only support Blackberry devices".
