• Next-generation mobile is all about the cloud

We've talked at length about Microsoft Live Mesh - I use it a lot at home as I have multiple PC's. I also have a Mac Book Pro and would love it if it was compatible with that. And we are all SO looking forward to support for our mobile devices. It would be great if one cloud would support multiple...

TechRepublic has a very detailed article answering 10 questions about Microsoft Live Mesh. #1: What is a mesh? #2: What is the Live Desktop? #3: How much storage space do I get “in the cloud?” #4: Do I have to install any software? #5: Can I synch folders on my other devices without copying them to the...

  • Re: Microsoft Live Mesh open to all in the U.S

I have been running the beta for a couple of weeks now. Interestingly, even though I am based in the UK, I do not need the en-US language settings. Definitely try this out. I have a SkyDrive but the automatic sync feature here is the deal breaker. And it is a handy free 5gb of online storage.

  • Re: Windows Live Mesh for Windows Mobiles
I wonder if the remote control feature will work from the device?
I do hope so and I've just signed up with LogMeIn I've realised, late in the day, that you can add existing folders from your PC to your Live Mesh list. I have already setup ActiveSync...

  • Re: Live Mesh for Windows Mobile

Hey, Kris - I'm a big fan of MSDN, and I found the Live Mesh team blog here . It's got a nice discussion of how it all works, although not necessarily all the details of what, when, or how.

  • Live Mesh for Windows Mobile

I'm not getting a lot of good information about the Live Mesh team's WM client. Since Apple announced MobileMe (.mac 2.0) I'm curious how this will compare. Anyone got ideas?
